Description

(1882–1958) General of the Civilian Righteous Armies

The bust is located at the foot of the mountain along the hiking route that goes past the Nakdong River Battle Victory Memorial in Apsan Park (Daemyeong-dong).

  • 1877: Born in Cheongsong, North Gyeongsang Province
  • 1905: Founded the civilian Changui Army
  • 1907: Organized the civilian army Sannameuijin
  • 1907: Dissolution of Samnameuijin
  • 1908: Re-organized Samnameuijin
  • 1908: Defeated Japanese troops at Woonmoonsan Mountain
  • 1908: Imprisoned
  • 1910: Re-organized Samnameuijin
  • 1958: Died
  • 1977: Posthumously awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation and Independence Medal
