The site is where you can see traces of the Cretaceous period 100 million years ago in Gosan-gol, where you can understand the sedimentary environment around the huge lake at that time through fossils of dinosaur footprints, dry heat, and ripple marks. The trace fossils of dinosaur footprints found in Gosangol, on Apsan Mountain, date back to the Cretaceous Period in the Mesozoic Era, more than hundreds of millions of years ago. Four or five trace fossils are visible on the flat stone (graphite) river bed, which is about 23 to 26 square meters in size, of a small river below a hiking trail. The 20- to 30-centimeter-long, three-toed footprints are presumed to have been made by an herbivorous dinosaur of the ornithopod or sauropod species.
There are two representative observatory on the mountain. The observatory, which is a filming location for "Whats wrong with secretary Kim?" starring Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young, offers a panoramic view of Daegu City and is perfect for enjoying the night view.
The area near Daemyeong-dong ICT Park is home to artists and arts organizations working in diverse genres of art, including theater companies, musicians, private ateliers, game producers and distributors, arts management companies, and musical instrument companies.
The city park that was once located in this place was abandoned due to the expansion of the Apsan Beltway. However, it was reborn as a new park with fitness facilities, water fountain, and numerous amenities, along with the Ppallaeteo, a site where women did their washing in the old days.
Apsan has great nature environments given by mother earth. It has a lot of Korean restaurants, which is frequently visited by mountain climbers, and there are restaurants with a luxurious interior, food, and exotic cafes that young couples will love.
n the 1960s, this street was a hub for the trading of cultural items, and even today, it boasts many folk goods, ceramics, and pieces of antique furniture. There are also many utensils on display that were used in daily life years ago, but are now unfamiliar, offering visitors a delightful and entertaining look at the past.
Joongangdae-ro (the road that goes from the Yeongdeok Intersection to Myeongdeok Intersection) and the surrounding area were refurbished as a pedestrian-only street designed in various themes. Along this street, the car lanes have been reduced, the sidewalks have been expanded, and the retaining wall has been improved. These improvements, along with the creation of a green arcade, have transformed the street into a pleasant place where people can come and gather.
The cable car in apsan, which was installed in May 1974, will take about five minutes to cover the 795-meter oneway trip . If you invest only 9,500 won per person, he or she can ride up and down the cable car and see the beautiful natural scenery and the Daegu city.
The Keun-Gol Cherry Blossom Trail and Gosan-Gol Cherry Blossom Trail, which represent apsan, you can take a walk while enjoying the colorful streetlights and cherry blossoms at night, and the sky cherry blossom trail located on the ridge of the mountain, which stretches 700 meters along the ridge.
Since its establishment in 2009, there are six sections: Metasequoia Road, Manbal Mountain Trail, Ipop Tree Trail, Ho Gukseonyeol Road, Ggot Museul Trail, and Sowonseongchi Trail, which are well known for its hidden stories, making it a good walking course for healing in the city.
The Metasequoia Forest RoadPath is the access road to Apsan Park, which is visited by more than 3.5 million people every year. It is a place where many citizens go to get some exercise and take a break from their daily routines, and is beloved by the people for the wonderful harmony between the forest path and Apsan forest
